Swimming

Beau got to go swim in an indoor pool last weekend. He LOVED the pool last year, so we thought he would love it this year too. Well, he just sat on the pool steps with Rodney for 30-45 minutes. He did finally start to splash the water towards the end of the time at the pool. Rodney picked him up to carry him into the pool more, and Beau said "No.".....I don't think he was scared, he was just checking out all the kids at the pool. He is signed up to take swim safety lessons soon, so we will see if he gets any more adventurous in the water then.

This is the furthest that Beau went into the pool

Playing with Family

Over the past few weekends, Beau has gone to Auburn to spend the weekend with Nona and Papa and Maggie (their dog). He has gone to Sylacauga to see his great grandparents, Memie and Super (Beau calls him Sup-Sup) And, he has seen my family when cousin Rachel was here for a week. He has definitely been LOVING all the attention he gets from his family!

Memie is showing Beau how to play with one of the many toys that she bought him

Playing on Gran-Gran's walker with Blake and Jenna...Beau does not look thrilled in this picture because he had to stop to take it....he had the best time getting rolled around the house by his cousins!

Playing in a car at Nona and Papa's...this was another little boys car. Beau wanted to ride in his car and the little boy wanted to ride in Beau's car, so they swapped for the day!

Random Pictures

This is a picture of Beau playing in his yellow rocking chair. He loves to rock in it and "read" books. He also loves to be rocked in it....today at nap time he said "Momma, rock, please".....so of course I rocked him! It melted my heart.

This was taken at the mall. He is walking with 2 of his favorite people...Nona and Papa!

This is a picture of Beau and James playing with Elmo's Restaurant....Beau LOVES to play with James!

This is a bunny that was in the yard at Nona and Papa's house. Beau would run up to it and say "rabbit" It was one of his favorite things to do at their house in Birmingham. (This was taken 2 days before Beau got a major haircut)

Another picture of James and Beau....this day they chose to bring toys into the ottoman and play in it....I love how James has his leg propped up on the ottoman!

Snow in March!

We had a fun snow day on Sunday at the house. Beau was so excited to wake up and see snow covering the yard, cars, porch, etc. He looked out the window during breakfast and every time the wind blew the snow off the roof, he would say "Whoa!"

He was not a big fan of actually playing in the snow. He did like to sit on Rodney's car and eat the snow though. That was mainly what he did while we were outside playing in the snow.

Standing in the snow....

Getting Daddy to help him get out of the snow

Playing with snow on the car

The boots.....this child would wear these every day, all day, if I would let him

Eating snow....Yum! He ate snow for a good 10+ minutes while he watched the neighborhood kids build a snowman

King Look-alike Meter

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Old photos - Descendants

After seeing this "Look A Like Meter" on several of our friends blogs, I decided to try it. I knew when Beau was born, he was a mini version of Rodney. Now, people say they can not tell who Beau looks like. Except for when I am at a grocery store, the check out person often says "He must look just like his daddy!". Well, according to this, he does look more like Rodney....by 9%.

Book Worm

Beau loves to be read to! He will sit in his rocker or in any chair with us and look at book after book after book. He loves to point out animals, babies, food, etc. in the books. Then he will clap for himself. It is precious! We, of course, think he is a genius!

Valentine's Weekend

Beau loved getting all the Valentine's from family and friends! He got several cards that played music or talked when you opened them. He liked to play them over and over and over....! One played "I got you babe" by Cher and another one played "Achy Brakey Heart".

Beau ate heart shaped biscuits for breakfast on Valentine's Day and then ate 2 pickles for lunch at the mall. This was odd, but he had a slight fever, so we thought he just wasn't hungry. We found out the next day that he has his 2nd case of Hand, foot, and mouth disease. Yuck! Oh well....it is much easier the 2nd time around.

He got this puppy dog stuffed animal from his aunt Betsy for Valentine's Day. Betsy has a 3 legged dog named Jack. Beau calls him "Jack Jack", so of course Beau calls the new puppy dog "Jack Jack". He likes to take him everywhere and he likes Jack Jack to nap with him too.

We had a great Valentine's Day and are very thankful for our family!
