Happy 2nd Birthday!

Wow! Where has my baby gone? He turns 2 today, but we celebrated on Saturday with friends and family at Homewood Park. I have been very emotional about Beau turning 2....he is not really a "baby" anymore. He is sleeping in a big boy bed and not a crib, he tells us "get out" "night night" when we try to cuddle with him at night. He is getting so tall, moving up to the 2 year old room in the nursery( I cried through part of the service the last time I took him to the "walker room" in the nursery because I knew it was his last time to be in it)....my list could go on and on about how he is growing up. I am very happy he is healthy and strong, but I am sad that he is getting so big!

Back to the party.. The day kicked off with swim lessons (which he loved!) and then we headed to the park. We got to the park and it was cloudy and breezy...praise the Lord! He had some food, 2-3 cupcakes (he was only supposed to have 1, but asked other people besides me for extra cupcakes :o)) , and then played, played, played! He never even asked to go on the playground because he was so content playing with all the people who came to celebrate with him. He was so worn out from the day that he took a 3 1/2 hour nap!

Beau's invitations said "Come have a ball with us at Beau's 2nd birthday party!" I made cupcakes that looked like basketballs, tennis balls, and baseballs. We brought a wagon full of sports balls for the kids to play with too. But, the highlight of the party was the cooler full of ice....I think the boys played in it more than anything else!

Beau about to dig into the cupcake.....he also ate part of his "2" candle (he quickly spit it out once he realized it was not a cupcake)

James having fun by the ice chest

Beau's cousin Addison enjoying a cupcake

Sweet Evelyn playing with the toys

Bubble wands....anything bubbles are some of Beau's favorite toys

Opening gifts with Memie

Beau playing with a huge chunk of ice

James, Lawson, and Beau checking out the ice chest

The bubble lawnmower.....he does not like anyone to play with this and he wants to "cut grass" every minute of the day when we are at home!

Beau is adorable, Mary Ann! That bubble mower seems to be a hot commodity these days!! :)
